The PASTA training program was developed by HR and Security Professionals to help train managers and employees how to respond to active shooter situations. Thankfully, 99% of those being trained about active shooters will never be called on to apply the knowledge. With that in mind, we tried to develop this program to be informative but not as traumatic as many videos that are currently being circulated in the Human Resources and Training community.
In-house Training: In the spirit of trying to promote the sharing of best practices, we have established a reasonable fee structure for those that wish to train on their own using the PASTA materials. You will receive a PowerPoint deck, a script, and additional materials for your management team. The materials will be editable so you can add specifics for your organization and/or make changes to fit your own policy and procedures.
The fee to use these materials is $0.50 per participant with a minimum cost of $20. For organizations with 200 to 500 employees, you can obtain a company license to perform the training for 1 year for $100. For larger groups please contact us. Payment can be provided by credit card or PayPal upon receipt of our invoice. If you represent a small non-profit or a social organization, just let me know and we will waive the fee as long as you give credit in your final presentation.
Instructor Provided: Upon request, we can provide one or more of the developers of the program as instructors for an additional cost.
Here are the topics covered:
• Preparation and Preventative Measures
• Identifying an Active Shooter Situation and Reacting
• RASHDY response – Run Away, Safely Hide, Defend Yourself
• Leadership Response After the Incident
The scripted program takes 30-45 minutes.
The material is protected by copyright and other laws. Please contact [email protected] for Word/PowerPoint documents and permission to use the materials in training.
